One morning, we went to the Pol-e Karoun Nightclub together. As soon as we walked in, Shahrokh’s eyes fell upon a newly hired waitress who was working behind the till with her head lowered. He exclaimed,”Who’s that? I’ve never seen her here before.” She seemed to be a very modest lady, but she was forced to work here without a hijab. Shahrokh went to the till and asked, “Sister, I haven’t seen you before. Have you come to work here recently?” The lady replied very timidly, “Yes, today’s my first day.” … Shahrokh felt insulted. He gritted his teeth and the veins in his neck started to bulge. He slammed his fist on the table and growled, “Damn this cursed regime!!” He said loudly, “Sister! Get up, let’s go.” The lady went into the back room, wore her chador and left in complete hijab. She then got into Shahrokh’s car and they set off.
